Issue XXXV – Welcome!
Hey there, August!
Summer might be winding down, but things are just winding up for the women playing professional baseball. Over the weekend, the Women’s Pro Baseball League held its league- and season-opener games, with the LA Queens securing the first-ever WPBL win, beating the NY Heights 10–8 in a dramatic and epic evening.
It rained, it poured, and there was a delay. But 1,000 people walked away with a free bobblehead, and everyone left with bragging rights for being part of the 2026 WPBL Opening Day.
It truly feels magical to be witnessing such a time in women’s sports.
