Issue XXVIII – Welcome!
What landed on my desk this week…
Frustration.
One thing I’m learning VERY quickly about raising money and hype for a brand new football team is that not everyone is ready to buy in. Internally, we see the vision. We know how incredible this can be. But externally, getting others to see it has been TOUGH!
So, this week, my plan is to revamp the sponsorship pitch deck, write a couple of feel-good stories, and give people something to buy into that goes beyond banners and field signage. Because if there’s one thing I know about sports, it’s that people LOVE a good origin & underdog story.
Wish me luck!

🏀 Will we see the Knicks sweep the Spurs and win it all in New York this week?! It’s possible!
⛹🏽♀️ Does the WNBA have a Caitlin Clark attitude problem? Telling refs to “shut the f**k up,” isn’t exactly the greatest PR look. 👀
🗞️ In other news… The Vegas Golden Knights and Carolina Hurricanes put on an exciting show in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup, Golden Tempo and his trainer make history, AGAIN, & the Women’s National Football Conference expands its deal with ESPN, plus more!
P.S. I’m putting together an exciting lineup of interviews later this summer, and I want your input! I want to make sure I talk to women you’d actually like to hear from. So, send me your top 3 A-listers, and I’ll see if I can’t get them on the phone! Stay tuned for how this little quest will shape the future of Her Sports Desk. 😊
