Issue XXIII – Welcome!
I have a confession…
Until I started writing this newsletter and getting back into the sports world, I genuinely had no idea that a professional women's tackle football existed.
Not flag football. Not "powderpuff" anything.
I’m talking full pads, full contact, helmet-to-helmet, run-the-ball-down-your-throat tackle football. And it's been around since the 1960s (or 1930s, depending on who you ask). 🤯 So, guess what! If I now know this, so do you! (#TheMoreYouKnow)
There are two primary leagues out there, but for the sake of this issue, I’ll be focusing on the most recent one to establish itself: the Women’s National Football Conference.
The WNFC (for short) is currently five weeks into its 2026 season, with a championship coming in June. And once you know what's actually happening in this league, you cannot un-know it.
Let's go!
